Abstract

We reviewed the findings of MRI studies in the psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia, affective disorder, dementia, autism, eating disorder, et al. In summary, anatomical studies of the psychiatric disorders, while somewhat inconsistent,
have
revealed numerous abnormalities, some which are consistent with degenerative changes, but several of which suggest neurodevelopmental anomalies. And we also discussed the application of future interest of magnetic resonance imaging in psychiatric
fields.
